The Chekhov Project

The Chekhov Project

Weaving together short stories, personal letters and plays, this theatre project celebrates the influential work of Anton Chekhov and the Moscow Art Theatre. Russian playwright, short-story writer and physician, Chekhov is considered one of the greatest writers in world literature. The Chekhov Project was comprised of five plays, The Boor, The Sneeze, Drama, The Lady with the Dog, and The Letters. The Letters was a humourous and heartfelt collection of the real writings of Anton Chekhov and Olga Knipper to one another in the last six years of their relationship before Chekhov died of tuberculosis.
