Improvisation for Creative Pedagogy
Training language teachers – Tools to promote organic language learning
Many if not most language teachers already use some form of drama in their classrooms. However this three-hour interactive workshop on performative techniques in the language classroom gives teachers ideas on how to refresh their creative pedagogy skill set in the classroom, while creating a supportive, collaborative environment for learners. We reinforce understanding of language as a way to communicate meaning and give teachers techniques for creating a positive classroom culture, where students feel freedom from fear of failure, helping language learners of to be experimental with language and create an emotional connection with text.
